Welcome Back!  We hope that you enjoyed your summer and are ready to begin another successful school year. 

Friday, August 26th marks the kickoff of the 2016-2017 PTA Membership Campaign.

We invite you to Invest in Our Children by becoming a member of our PTA, along with your children’s teachers and school staff, community leaders and other concerned citizens as we work toward enriching the lives of all of the children at our school.

We want EVERY family represented. Our goal is 100% membership which equals one membership per student.

Why Should YOU Join? Benefits of joining PTA.

We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts and information and work on projects to benefit children. 

 

Membership enables you to attend Association meetings and have a vote regarding budget issues, student program selection and officer elections.

 

Membership also strengthens the State and National PTA as they work with our elected officials on decisions like proposed budget cuts, which directly affect all of our children.

 

ANYONE Can Join!

Our goals are to maintain our strong and supportive PTA, and to promote parent involvement in the school, home and community.

 

We ask both mothers and fathers to join, along with students, teachers, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, friends, neighbors, and other community members.

You don’t have to be a parent to belong to PTA!

Please join with us to make a difference in the education, health, and welfare of our children. 

How do YOU Join?

We have a fun campaign planned this year, which includes several incentives to promote membership!

 Every child who returns a membership will receive a small prize. Our goal is to have 100% membership from our students and faculty. 

At the end of our fall campaign, the classroom with the highest level of participation will receive a class party and the second place winner will receive extra recess time!

 

How does your membership benefit Grace Miller Elementary?

Annual membership dues are $10.00  After required payment for local, state & national PTA dues, $5.00 of each $10.00 membership and all additional donations received, remain with Grace Miller to support events and valuable programs including:

 

  • Academic Assemblies
  • Art Expo
  • Birthday Books
  • Book Fairs
  • Donuts with Dad
  • Fall Festival
  • Family Fun Nights

 

  • Field Trips
  • Muffins with Mom
  • Santa & Pajamas

 

Grace Miller Elementary is excited to report that last year’s PTA Membership Campaign and fundraising efforts supported the purchase of Apple TV devices for each and every classroom, as well as the replacement of several classroom projectors.

Along with your membership dues, we graciously request that you consider donating additional funds to help support these amazing programs.  100% of all donated funds remain with Grace Miller Elementary.
